  1. Working in is just as important as working out. My body has been telling me this for years...Duh!

  2. It seems simple, but it has hit me that I really need to save time for myself. I always want to be the best mom, wife, and teacher, and I truly need to start putting myself first.

  3. Made a concerted effort to be positive last night at home alone with two of my boys, even after being tired from a long day. I was rewarded with more, "I love you"s than I would normally receive on a Tuesday night. Great lesson in cause and effect.

  4. Knowing and actually acting are two completely different things. After hearing again that we have to forgive old wounds first before we can rejuvenate and be truly happy, I knew it was time to take actions. I am not someone who holds grudges, but do often find myself using some experiences in life to create a reason as to why something else isn't possible. Almost using other events or others words as an excuse. I have made a commitment to myself to forgive old wounds, even for those whom aren't sorry, and allow myself to move forward!

  5. Life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to to it!!!

  6. You can choose your attitude and choose how to react to lives stressors. New motto to live by.

  7. After hearing Matt, I want to see my Dr.s every day.I only need to make an appointment with myself.

  8. Children are like individual puzzles! Each year is a new and exciting year, because it is a new challenge to put these puzzle pieces together!

  9. I NEED to plan time for my kids and husband. My 7-year-old commented how much I was laughing when I was reading a joke book last night. I told her a simplified version of what I learned about laughter, and she loved it. She told me she hadn't laughed enough that day so I started to tickle her. The rest of the night she kept coming back and telling me "I love to be tickled." It made me realize how much she is probably missing the touch, laughter and time with me. But we had a great time laughing all evening!

  11. Control your attitude or it will control you.

  12. The oxygen mask...How important it is to take care of yourself first. Also, most of life is how you react to it.

  13. Wow! Put your own oxygen mask on first! 4 Doctors Food and not food...good stuff:) Love and Logic -- Corwin Kronenburg came to our school last fall and we are working toward being an above the line school. If you ever have the chance to hear him..do it.

  15. Attitudes are infectious and change the way you live... it's attitude not apptitude that effects your altitude!

    P.S.
Only 8% of what we worry about comes true so time to take a break from the worry..it's going to be OK!

  16. Don't worry ,because only 8% of what we worry about ever happens. Note I still worry about computers.

  17. Don't believe everything you think. Better yet, plant good thoughts. The author of my book calls them "loops" that play over and over in your head, steering you in the right direction. Choosing happiness, an attitude of gratitude, "thank God for this day"...all great "loops"!

  18. I need to get back to real foods again. I was there once before and things were great but the ease of processed foods sucked me back in. Thanks, Matt, for the reminder of what type of fuel our bodies need!

  19. I've been eating many things that I thought were healthier, but they're not. Time for a change!

  20. I guess I posted my comment in the wrong place earlier. Let's try this again...

"You can never go wrong when you do the right thing." Listen to that "inner voice". From: "10 Conversations You Need To Have With Your Children". This is so simple and a definite conversation everyone should have with their children and live by! :)

  21. OMG. My WOW moment is RIGHT NOW! I can't believe I actually got on this blob site (by myself) AND I'm posting a comment (again...by myself)! I'm blond and just about 60 years old! Who said, "You can't teach an old dog new tricks?" WHOOPIE :^)

  22. I spend more time on a school day driving and on the computer than on quality time w/ family or for myself....need to re-work that!

  23. My ah-ha moment was realizing I have everything in my life to be happy right now!

  24. My ah-ha moment was realizing how SIGNIFICANTLY my lifestyle choices now (what I eat and drink, how I move) affect my longevity later.

  25. My piece of inspiration, or "ah-ha moment" is something that I had been starting to realize while traveling on my spiritual journey lately and has really sunk in as a result of this class. Bad things may/WILL happen in life, I cannot control the future, and nothing at all is certain in this life, but I CAN deal with ALL of it--anything that happens--with the right attitude IF I choose it. I don't have to be a slave to the circumstances around me--I am free to be happy, content, fulfilled at any given moment if I CHOOSE to be. That, to me, is magic.

  26. Deb Tackmann's story of the boy who chose life after being in her class was very powerful. I guess I knew that I was important in the lives of the children I work with, but I never thought about how my actions and attitudes could literally save a life. A miracle happened there ...
